Everybody is going into hyperdrive with the no sugar diets! For sure the sweet stuff is super addictive. The reason being is that glucose (sugar) is the brains preferred fuel supply. Sweet treats weren’t as readily available in caveman times compared to now so serious pleasure/reward centres went off in the brain when we found a good source. Fast forward to the 20th & 21st century and our food supply has made things go a little pair shaped. Although its hard to find a video that I always 100% agree with this TED talk does a great job of illustrating why we find sugar so alluring and addictive so I thought I’d share…
